| twilight s glow, which was once so bright,
Has all but faded into the everlasting night.
The stars, which had once burned with their brightest glow
Have become but mere piercings in the night sky.
The moon, in its seemingly everlasting flaxen orb,
Which at one time rested beyond the silver mountains,
Has fallen into the never-ending darkness.
What once was full of Life and Love,
Has turned to Death and Despair.
The earth, now a barren wasteland,
Desolate and charred,
Begins to slowly fall into darkness,
And Midnight storms and rages on,
The question of a new day goes unanswered.
All hail the coming of Eternal Night,
when daylight sleeps and Dawn fails to arrive
The beginning of a New Age has come,
Black roses sprout grow in the new, now called Light,
High enough to rival the coal black sky.
And Night s own creatures,
Begin to form, freely tearing apart the once living Ones.
Their eyes shine eerily in the darkness,
The only light,
Though it is unsettling and burns those who look into the glowing orbs of crimson,
Its all there is.
For now the world has past and faded.
Into an Eternal Night. |
